It is no secret that 23-year-old Jadon Sancho is ready to leave Manchester United in the near future, and as January approaches, Italian Serie A giants Juventus have emerged from the crowd to become one of the favourites to sign the out-of-favour England forward in the next winter transfer window. According to reports, the 36-time Italian champions have the desire to make a short-loan move for the former Borussia Dortmund player until the end of the 2023/2024 Season, in hopes that Sancho can provide them his attacking abilities to win the league.
Juventus and Saudi Pro League Clubs Are Interested in Sancho
Juventus do not have any obligations in continental competitions and are currently the second best team in the Italian Serie A, trailing leaders Inter Milan by only a couple of points after 12 league games. Therefore, one can imagine that Juventus would want to recapture the prestigious league title and other domestic cup competitions at the end of this season, having won their last Serie A trophy back in the 2019/2020 Season.
Doing it so would require Juventus to upgrade their attacking options, since the team have only scored 19 goals in the league campaign thus far, which is the lowest tally among the top seven teams in the league at the moment. If anything, the Italian outfit can certainly make an instant adjustment by bringing in a versatile forward in the upcoming transfer window, and Sancho, would be a nice addition to the squad due to his ability up front as well as his adaptation into a foreign football system as seen in his Dortmund days. In light of this, Juventus are reportedly willing to cover Sancho’s salary should the latter arrive in Turin in January.
But Juventus are not the only team who are eager to win the player’s signature on a loan or permanent deal. Apart from Juventus, clubs from the oil-rich Saudi Pro League also expressed their interests to sign the English striker; Sancho was heavily linked to join the Asian region to reunite with his former club teammate and another player who had bad blood with Erik ten Hag, Cristiano Ronaldo in the now-concluded summer transfer window as well.

The Sancho-ten Hag Public Feud
Prior to his rumours to join another club, Sancho had a public fallout with his manager ten Hag, with the England player publicly calling out the Dutchman after the latter’s comments on the former’s training performances. In addition to internal suspensions for games that saw him not featured for the Red Devils since August 2022, the forward is also banned from group trainings as well as the entry to facilities at Carrington, putting the writing on the wall that he will be dismissed from the club in the upcoming transfer window in January.
Sancho was urged to apologise to his manager ten Hag over their public feud by his England teammates such as Harry Maguire, Luke Shaw and Marcus Rashford a few months ago, but the England international chose not to do so. Read here for the full details of the story.
